ISO 24712 8601 Information Technology Interchange

The International Standard contains a collection of test pages that are in common file formats which can be used to measure the yield of cartridges for colour ink and color toner. The focus of this test suite is not for printing of photographs, but is intended to be a sampling of typical consumer pages. These pages are described in ISO/IEC 1998 and ISO/IEC 24711.
The system that is specialized for global standardization is comprised of IEC (the International Organization for Standardization), and ISO (the International Organization for Standardization). The members of IEC and ISO are able to take part in the development of International Standards by joining technical committees. Each technical committee is accountable for addressing particular areas of technical activities. In the areas of mutual interest that concern both organizations, the ISO and IEC Technical Committees collaborate. Additional international organizations, including non-governmental and governmental, are also part of the work. ISO/IEC JTC 1 is an international technical committee that has been established by IEC and ISO in the field of information technology. International Standards are created following the guidelines of ISO/IEC Directives.

Draft International Standards adopted by the joint technical committee are distributed to national bodies to be voted on by. The publication of an International Standard is subject to approval from at least 75 percent of the national bodies that cast a ballot. Test pages in colour for measuring of the consumable yield for office equipment. 1 Scope The purpose of this International Standard is to define color test pages to aid in the measurement of consumable yield. The test page collection includes four "customer" type documents as well as one "diagnostic" page that serves to determine the expiration date of ink or toner consumable lifespan. These pages can be used for electro-photographic, inkjet printers and multi-function devices that have a digital printing path, i.e. A complete electro-photographic device that can print digitally.

This International Standard provides a set of test pages in a standard format for files that can be used in the testing of yield that is consumable. These pages are defined in ISO/IEC 19988 and ISO/IEC 24711. These pages are designed to be representative of some types of documents which can be used both at work and at home.
